"Training
with ROC
..Where do I start, before I started
training with Rashid I trained myself and developed my own
contest diets. Although I was in good shape, I was not in
the shape I needed to be in order to compete at the top
level. Honestly, I was skeptically to work with a trainer
because I have always trained myself plus word was he could
be extremely demanding. But I took a chance and so did he
and the results paid off. I don't think I've every hated
and loved someone at the same time
The training
was rough and he pushed me harder then I have ever pushed
or allowed myself to be pushed. I started training with
ROC the first week of February 2005 and competed in my first
show of the year that very next month (6 weeks later). I
won first in my class and overall. After that I figured
he knew what he was talking about
.. Working with ROC
allowed me to see how important the little things are; rest,
being organized, team work and taking care of your body
because if you don't it will not take care of you! The hardest
and most important lesson I learned was to listen, because
one mistake or that one time you didn't pay attention or
focus can cost you everything you've worked hard for. I
can truly say, I would not have made it to this level if
it was not for my trainer ROC Shabazz!!"
