What got you into bodybuilding?
After I finished playing competitive sports, I got into
bodybuilding to fulfill my competitive spirit.
Who
has been your biggest influence(s)?
My dad (R.I.P.) was my biggest influence, because he was
a diehard bodybuilding fan.
What
are the most important things that you have learned since
you started; about yourself, your training, and your nutrition?
The
most important thing that I have learned is that with a
consistent training and nutrition regimen, I make serious
gains very easily.
What
comes easy, and what doesn't for you?
Gaining muscle comes very easy for me, but sometimes getting
all of my meals in during the day can be tough with my busy
schedule.
What's
the best thing that you have done for your bodybuilding
career?
I have maintained a consistent competition schedule, which
has allowed me to make steady improvements.
What's
the biggest mistake that you have made?
The biggest mistake that I have ever made was beginning
my very first pre-contest diet without eating any carbs.
Describe
your training style, and how it changes from off-season
to contest prep?
I keep my intensity level high all year round. However,
during the off-season, I focus more on bulking up, and pre-contest
I focus on maintaining the gains that I made during the
off-season while dieting.
Where
do you see yourself in ten years?
I see myself as being extremely successful and known around
the world within the fitness and entertainment industries.
What
are your bodybuilding goals, and what do you need to get
there?
My goals are to become an IFBB (International Federation
of Body Building) pro, and to become a role model within
the fitness industry. As I continue compete in more National
level competitions, I must continue to improve and win within
my weight class to attain my pro card.
Who
are your favorite bodybuilders and why?
My favorite bodybuilders are: Dexter Jackson, Silvo Samuel,
Phil Heath, and Victor Martinez. These guys are pound for
pound the most well proportioned bodybuilders in the sport.
Tell
me about your off-season and pre-contest approach to nutrition?
My approach to nutrition during the off-season is to eat
everything, but I clean up my diet completely when I am
preparing for a competition.
