ABOUT GUILLERMO

Guillermo was born on June 24, 1976 in San Jose, Costa Rica. In 1985, Guillermo and his family moved from Costa Rica to Harlingen, Texas; his father wanted to move the family back to the U.S. for work reasons. In 1990, his family moved to Southern California where he and his brother finished their school.

Throughout high school and college, Guillermo excelled in academics and athletics. He participated in high school and intercollegiate athletics in football and track. His love for sports, health, and fitness since he was 12 years old eventually grew into his profession.

Guillermo married young and had 2 boys with his ex-wife. Nathan was born in September of 1995 and Daniel was born in June of 1998. In 2006, Guillermo met his wife Monica; they got married in 2008. Monica is an IFBB Pro Figure competitor, fitness model, and is the Director of Fitness at SportsPros Physical Therapy/Personal Training Center in Claremont, CA (Click www.monfit.com to view her website).

Guillermo credits much of his success to his parents since both of them always expected the best from him and his brother. Additionally, his parents emphasized school; his father holds a doctorate in business administration. Guillermo and his brother Manny both hold graduate degrees and work in the health and fitness industry. Guillermo is the co-owner/president of SportsPros Physical Therapy/Personal Training Center and Manny is the Fitness Director at 24-Hour Fitness in Glendora.
