What brought you to bodybuilding?
Throughout my life I have always been involved in bodybuilding
in one way or another. I started messing around with weights
at when I was 7 years old with my father. When I reached high
school, I began lifting weights with the football team to
gain strength for the field. I injured my lower back in my
last year of high school and missed the last half of the season.
This was the turning point in my life where I had no sport
to play and needed to find something to fill that void. I
turned to my father and asked him what he thought I should
do. That's when he asked me to join him at the gym for a intense
workout!! I guess one can say this was the day that I was
bit by the IRON BUG!!
Who
has been your biggest influences?
My father, my uncle Sal, Victor Martinez, and all the other
pros I've followed growing up!!
What are the most important things you've learned since
you started ?
Since I started on this regimen of the bodybuilding lifestyle,
I've learned that I am able to do things I never thought
I would be able to do. I have learned that through hard
work and dedication one can achieve all things!!! Fortunately
I've been blessed with great genetics from my parents.
In the past I've listened to many people and didn't take
the time to listen to my own body. For me the most important
priorities are 1) diet, 2) training, 3) supplements and
4)REST
My
training doesn't vary from off-season to contest prep…I
like to train hard all year around!!!
What are your bodybuilding goals?
I would love to turn pro!!! I know that time is all I need
to get there because my work ethic and dedication are on
point!!!
Who
are your favorite bodybuilders and why?
Victor Martinez is my favorite bodybuilder because he is
a fellow Dominican….lol…he is a genuine person who is willing
to help a needing hand…that's something to admire in any
person.
Tell me about your approach to nutrition?
I like to follow a high protein, moderate carb, moderate
fat approach off season and pre contest I drop some carbs
and fats!
