I was really skinny as a kid, but I became a big fan of the Incredible Hulk. The TV show, comic books, I was practically obsessed with it. I started training and I found that I love the feeling of a good pump and pushing weights.

I competed for the first time in 2006, winning the Leamington Spa Qualifier and going on to win the First Timer Title at the British Championships. I have been training for a long time, and now I wish I'd stepped on stage sooner because I found that I love competing.

Eating, sleeping, and hardcore training are the keys to success in bodybuilding. I love training, so that comes easy for me. In the offseason I train with heavy weights and low repetitions. For Pre-Contest I work with light weights and do high repetitions.

Getting enough rest to recuperate has not been a problem for me either, although balancing work with bodybuilding can be a challenge. For me, nutrition has been most difficult. If you don't eat, you don't grow. I feel I've got a program that works for now and I've been adding quality muscle this offseason. I on track reach 21 stones this year, and I should be competing 10-15 pounds heavier than last year.

My favourite bodybuilders include past Mr. Olympia Champions like Lee Haney, Ronnie Coleman, Dorian Yates, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. I admire Ronnie Coleman for his dedication to training. I'm a big fan of Dorian Yates, an English bodybuilder who was able to dominate in the States in the way that he did. I also admire Arnold Schwarzenegger for building on his success in bodybuilding to become a film start and the Governor of California.

I continue to work and train hard to reach a pro standard. I'm doing as many shows as I can to become better known and recognized. Someday I would love to take it over the States.
