For the most part I train by myself. If you choose to train with a partner, it's important that they show up consistency. It's easy to find someone who will show up a couple of times a week, but it rare that you can find someone whose going to show up every workout.

I'm a huge believer in quality over quanity. I believe in strict form where you have to work through every rep and squeeze through every rep.

I'm learning how to listen to my body and train instinctively.

My training centers around basic barbell and dumbbell movements. However I do use cables to warm up and finish. My back is one of my strongpoints. I had a bodybuilder friend who taught me how to do deadlifts and squats and always kept those in my basic routine and that's what made me really thick.

As I get closer to show I start doing more giant sets, drop sets and super sets. I also increase pace of training; The rests I take between sets goes down to 30-45 seconds. That helps me burn more calories. I usually build up gradually on cardio, I'm still playing with it to get it right for my body. I'll be doing more cardio for the USAs this year.
