take BCAs, amino acids and similar supplements. I'm
a big fan of simple carbs, so eat a lot of yams and
oats. I get my protein mainly from chicken and turkey
breasts and sometimes from beef. Fish is a great source
of lean protein, but I can't stand the taste of it.
I working into my pre-contest diet this year, tilapia
filets.
I
own a nutrition store, so I am very knowledgeable
about diet and nutrition. When I started bodybuilding
and didn't know much about it. I read that bodybuilders
ate a lot of fish, so I thought you had to eat fish
to be one. I didn't know what to do about that, because
I really didn't like eating it. Then I heard about
a guy had his jaw wired shut so he had to blend everything
into a shake. So I tried putting tuna into a shake
with Crystal Light. It was fine until I got down to
the end and the unmixed chunks made it disgusting.
I did that for a couple of week before I found out
you could get protein and from steak and chicken too.
I
love to grill and cook. I love the off-season because
I can smoke my ribs and eat my beer can chicken.
